FedEx partnered with Feed the Children and donated school supplies to over 1,600 students from farming and fishing communities in Sagbayan, Bohol.
A team of FedEx volunteers filled new school bags with notebooks, scissors, writing pads, erasers, pencils, sharpeners, and raincoats. The school supplies were delivered to the students, to make sure that they are equipped with the necessary tools for the academic year. With this endeavor, FedEx and Feed the Children aims to foster a better learning environment and help the students from underserved communities succeed in their studies.
"For the past four decades, we have been an avid supporter of programs that enable local communities to thrive," said Maribeth Espinosa, Managing Director at FedEx Philippines. "At FedEx, delivering for good and contributing to the social and economic needs of the underprivileged is part of our DNA. We strongly believe that education is a powerful tool for change, and through this initiative, we hope to make a positive impact on the lives of these young learners."
This partnership with Feed the Children is just one of the numerous initiative of FedEx Philippines that support community development. FedEx has a long history of giving back to the communities where its team members live and work, leveraging its global network and resources to make a meaningful difference. This initiative provides immediate assistance but also helps build a foundation for long-term educational success in these underserved communities.
FedEx Philippines' FedEx Cares global community program continues to expand its reach when it comes to driving social initiatives and supporting community development.
