Triloueva: An Ethically Sourced Filipino Footwear Brand

Filipino consumers are now becoming "very mindful" when it comes to choosing products and favor those which are sustainable and ethically sourced. And for homegrown brand- Triloueva, aside from offering trendy and comfortable footwear, their products also uses materials crafted from vegan leather, locally sourced fabrics, and wood.


From a capital of P5,000 in 2014, Trina Louisse Evangelista (Triloueva) collaborated with skilled artisans of Marikina to launch her footwear brand. Another reason for venturing into footwear was that most brands that time doesn't have size 10, which was the perfect footwear size for her. Luckily, after launching her online footwear business, it attracted consumers who are seeking a blend of sustainable and affordable (and trendy) work and casual shoes. Her designs are luxurious but reasonably priced.

"My regular clients are a crucial part of my brand. I am always all ears for any input they have on my products. I even adapt some of their names for various shoe styles. By doing this, I want them to feel that they are a significant part of the brand, which then leads to their continuous support for Triloueva," said Trina. 

The brand becomes known for its top-notch quality and fresh designs. During the pandemic, the brand even became more popular thanks to Filipino celebrities and influencers who rallied behind local labels like Triloueva. To date, Triloueva footwear is available online and at major shopping malls in Manila and Alabang. 

"For the past years, I've received requests from customers asking me to ship abroad but I had a hard time figuring out the logistics of doing it. With these in mind, Trina is determined to expand her brand's e-commerce presence and conquer the Asian market.

Trina shares this nugget to aspiring entrepreneurs- "Do not force yourself to keep up with trends." Amidst competitors shifting their manufacturing hubs for quick sales, she champions quality over trends.
