SM City Zamboanga unveils the colorful Vinta Market last March 20, 2026. This is a dedicated marketplace that support MSMEs from across the Zamboanga Peninsula. Launched in partnership with DTI Region 9 and the SM for MSMEs program, this hub has 20 MSMEs showcasing regional products from handcrafted items and artisanal goods to local delicacies, fashion pieces and souvenirs.
The Vinta is a regional sailboat known for its vibrant sails and deep cultural roots, weaving together heritage, community, and spiritual connection.
As a retail destination, the Vinta Market offers not just a hub for regional items and food, but as a platform of growth of MSMEs in the region.
"With their trainings and seminars, we've learned a lot. We're proud to say that we supply all over the Philippines-- and with SM Supermalls, our products can reach around the country and are now in the mainstream market," shared Shaun Alavar of Alavar Food Products.
SM Supermalls executives, along with DTI officials and partner stakeholders were present during the launch last March 20.
The booths offered guests artisanal products that represents stories of craftmanship, passion and perseverance which makes it truly a vibrant hub for mall-goers to enjoy and discover regional goods, and at the same time support local livehoods.
SM City Zamboanga, the city's newest lifestyle destination brings together shopping, dining, entertainment and community experiences not just for Zamboanguenos, but for those visiting the region as well.
