Repertory Philippines has teamed up with the Meridian International College (MINT), and launched The Bridge Project. This is a skills exchange partnership with MINT that aims to nurture a new generation of Filipino theatre practitioners, and strengthen the local theatre industry, as well as broaden educational opportunities.
The ceremonial signing of partnership was done last January 8 at the Makati Garden Club. And to mark the occasion, The Bridge Project's presents its season opener- Betrayal.
Betrayal is the famous play by British theatre icon, Harold Pinter. It premieres in March 2024 and is directed by Victor Lirio, NYC and London-based actor and theatre director. Casts include: James Bradwell, James Cooney, and Vanessa White. Set and sound design are Miguel Urbino and Fabian Obispo respectively.
The Bridge Project provides Filipino theatre artists and aspirants free masterclasses, lectures, and reading that will enhance their theatre skills like voice and scene work, set and sound design, and even Shakespeare rhetoric. With the MINT Campus as the official venue, the program is designed to deliver collaborative learning.
