P&G Philippines donated over P6M worth of P&G products to Mindoro communities affected by the oil spill. Products include those that promote health and hygiene and those that provide support to recover their livelihood materials.
The Mindoro oil spill came from a tanker carrying at least 800K liters of industrial fuel when it sank in the waters of Nauian town last February 28, 2023. A total of 167 barangays and 75K families were affected by the oil spill and it has posed not only risk to their health but to their livelihood as well.
As a company committed to being a Force for Growth and Force for Good in the Philippines, P&G donated branded products to address the basic needs of the impacted families, providing essential personal care and hygiene products such as Safeguard body soaps, Pantene and Head & Shoulders shampoos, Joy dishwashing liquids, and laundry products such as Ariel and Tide.
"We thank P&G Philippines for their generous donation. These products will not only provide immediate but also contribute to the long-term recovery and resilience of the affected communities in our province. We deeply appreciate their commitment to our community and their dedication to providing a sense of normalcy during tough times like this," said Humerlito Dolor, Governor of Oriental Mindoro.
