"It is really exciting to finally have a kit that is truly and uniquely a Philippine cultural icon," said Ferdie Khan, owner of The Brickyard. "It really goes to show that Tamiya recognizes the Philippines as one of its most important partners."
Tamiya is a popular brand among hobbyists all over the world and has been around for more than 50 years. From 4WD to other radio-controlled cars, Tamiya continues to innovate by offering new products.
The Brickyard will host the Tamiya Mini 4WD Asia Challenge in Manila on June 20-23, 2019. Around 300 competitors Hong Kong, Malaysia, Thailand, Korean, Singapore, etc., are expected to take part in the Tamiya competition. Exciting prizes awaits the winners especially for the the Asia Challenge champion because he/she will be heading to Japan before the year ends to compete in the Tamiya World Championship.
Tamiya collecting used to be a hobby for the "big" boys only but in recent years, millennials have steadfastly joined the club.
"We are excited to reintroduced this to the Philippines by expanding on the hobby experience. We are offering new ideas and concepts that we expect will appeal to our most ardent followers and to the younger generation. We want the younger generation to embrace the hobby," added Khan.
"Dyipne," Tamiya's 4WD limited edition kit will be sold exclusively by The Brickyard beginning June 6, 2019.
