The lovely pieces are curated by GREAT Women from the works of Rhett Eala, Adante Leyesa, Fino Leatherware, LARA, Ai-She, and Tygie, as well as GW Collection.
The fashion show is part of the pop-up event Filipino Flavors and Fabrics: A GREAT Women Festival of Homegrown Food and Design which aims to promote not only our amazing cultural heritage but showcase Filipino craftsmanship as well.
The show also highlights eco-conscious fashion (this is in contrast to mass produced fast fashion) that has lower carbon footprints and of course, fair wages for producers.
Aside from functional clothing and evening clothes, there are also accessories from merchants like Beth Agarao and indigenous artisan labels like Angie's Yakan Cloth, Cowhed, and K'Datu. There's also bags that uses upcycled materials and traditional crafting techniques.
The festival also offers some appetizing choices from Secret Kitchen of Samar, Pamora Farms frozen produce, and Proudly Promdi beverages.
#LIKHAatTheShang is part of Shangri-La Plaza's #FeelTheShangVibe this June.
