Ginny Guanco’s figures for her painting exhibit at the Galerie Y in SM Megamall are what can be described as a Bohemian’s rhapsody. The art show, which features all-female subjects, opens on September 15. Of the 32 colorful paintings of women, 26 of these are clad in classic boho chic designs in a bow to the artist’s roots as a full-bloomed flower child in the 70s.

Manto and Paul Sena is on show the whole month of April at Chef Jessie Rockwell Club at the Ground Level, Amorsolo Square,
Amorsolo Drive, Rockwell Center, Makati.
No other two artists could have been
more different. Manto finished Fine Arts at the University of Sto. Tomas. He
then led a professional life doing everything creative – book illustration,
mascot production, murals, stage design, print ads, billboards, logos. Some of
his works he did while at the Cultural Center of the Philippines. His natural talent he supplemented with
extensive knowledge of computer graphics.

is “Carriedo,” a colorful oil depiction
of the hustling and bustling commercial and business hub of Manila.

ART EXHIBIT: Propaganda At The Lopez Museum
The Lopez Museum recently launched its first exhibit of the year entitled- Propaganda. The exhibit will run from February 6 to May 30, 2015. Artworks of Nunelucio Alvarado, Santiago Bose, Joey Cobcobo, Don Salubayba, and Alvin Yapan are displayed alongside the works of Filipino masters Juan Luna, Felix Ressureccion Hildalgo, and Fernando Amorsolo. Works of National artists Napoleon Abueva, Jose Joya, and Cesar Legaspi are also featured.

ART EXHIBIT: Scattered Nebulae At Chef Jessie Rockwell Club
This whole month of September ‘Scattered Nebulae,’ an art exhibit by dermatologist cum artist Dr. Monina Macam is on show at Chef Jessie Rockwell Club, Amorsolo Square, Rockwell Center, Makati City.
This is the third exhibit by Macam whose first two series Flowers in Bloom Part 1 and Part 2 depicted flora not in their natural form but with distortions in vivid colors.
This time, in Scattered Nebulae, the form is completely removed with free, energetic strokes and drips running across the canvas drenched in bold dramatic shades.

Sketches and Paintings Exhibit by Frieda, Kankan and Nina
Chef Jessie Rockwell Club play host once again to an art exhibit beginning August 8, 2014 till first week of September.
Frieda Colet Lim, Kankan Ramos Lim and Nina Lim Yuson are three extraordinary women who weaves tales of love, family, life and travel through their sketches and paintings. Coincidentally, the artists are also related to one another and this is their first exhibit collaboration.
The exhibit is a combination of charcoal, watercolor, pastel portraits from Frieda's 20 piece works which she calls her "therapeutic tonic."
