A Reservoir of Love Exhibit at LRI Plaza

         Classical realist painter Jake Alano stages his second solo exhibit from April 28 to May 1 at LRI Design Plaza, N. Garcia St., Bel Air 2, Makati City.

         Alano pays homage to the woman, whose immeasurable worth as mother, wife, sister and daughter has brought strength, grace and beauty to the world.

         The oil on canvas creations depict women as joyous mothers cradling their babies, in native garb cooking in old fashioned kitchens, a young lady primping before a night out and pensive solos. 

         Alano is known for his commissioned portraits with subjects like esteemed architect Bobby Mañosa, the well-loved Jaime Cardinal Sin, hospital pioneer ABMSison, businessman Emilio La’O and corporate powerhouse Francis Ablan.

         Alano is the son of Ben, a realist painter and protégé of National Artist Fernando Amorsolo and one of the esteemed Mabini Artists in the 50s. The creative talent rubbed off on the son who to this day continues to be a noteworthy presence in the local art scene.
