The Manila Hotel gave the Philippine women's national team a warm welcome, after their memorable and strong finish at the 2023 FIFA Women's World Cup. The team stayed at the hotel after arriving from New Zealand.
Team Filipinas captured international attention with their amazing performance during the 2023 FIFA World Cup, particularly their victory against New Zealand. This win also marked the country's inaugural appearance in FIFA Women's World Cup. Coming from diverse backgrounds is not a deterrent in playing as a team and hoisting the country's flag.
"Just being qualified to compete, for the first time ever, in the FIFA Women's World Cup which is undoubtedly football's biggest stage, was a great honor in itself for the Filipinas. Compared to many countries that have scored their first wins after numerous games in several world cups, the Philippines' early win was phenomenal indeed," said Atty.
