Camayan Beach Resort

Summer is almost here so planning a trip to the beach is on top of our list. Of course, there's also a preference for beaches which is just a short drive from the city especially for Metro Manila dwellers like me.

Here's a lovely beach resort which is just 2 and 1/2 hours drive north of Manila--- Camayan Beach Resort in Subic. What's notable with Camayan Beach Resort is the beach itself. The water is really clear and you can actually see different kinds of fishes that is not shy to approach you. You can also bring or rent a snorkeling gear. However, there are some parts of the beach that is pebbly and has tons of seaweeds so wearing an aqua shoes is a must.

Boracay: A Quick Tour

Boracay is the country's premier destination when it comes to a beach with pristine white sand. There are so many fun activities to do in Boracay aside from swimming and eating. Going to Boracay from Manila Airport is easy since there are four choices of air carriers. In our case, we flew via SkyJet Airlines.

Visit Bohol 2015

The province of Bohol still maintains that allure when it comes to being a tourist destination. Gov. Edgar Chatto who is at the helm of Visit Bohol 2015, aims to uplift once more the grandeur that is Bohol. With its amazing natural attractions such as the famous Chocolate Hills, pristine white beaches, diving sites, the cute tarsier, the centuries old Baclayon Church, and the hospitality of Boholanos, "Bohol is ready to welcome all of you to our beautiful province," says Gov. Chatto.

Puerto Del Sol: A Hidden Gem In Bolinao Part 2

Puerto Del Sol during the morning is just as breathtaking as when we arrived in the afternoon of the previous day. What makes it special in the morning though is the solitude and relaxing peace that one seem to experience upon meditation. It was around 8am and we just had breakfast buffet and I guess most of the guests went back to their own beds except us. Read more about our dining experience at Puerto del Sol here.

Puerto Del Sol: A Hidden Gem In Bolinao Part1

Went to an unplanned out-of-town travel with family friends before New Year 2014. The road trip led us to Baguio, Bolinao, Dagupan and Manaoag.

After a day and a half in Baguio (we didn't really enjoy since traffic was pretty bad and lots of people every where), we hied off to Bolinao, Pangasinan. I thought at first that its going to be a short ride but it took us 4 hours to get there from Baguio. We passed by Kennon Road then via Bonoan, Dagupan till we reached the outskirts of Bolinao. From the highway, the resort is about 5-7 kms away. But upon arriving at Puerto Del Sol, I realized that the long trip and the sore back and cramped legs was all worth it. It was definitely one of the finest beaches in the Philippines.

Idyllic Calatagan

Calatagan, Batangas is one of the places here in Luzon that I would love to visit again and again if possible. The journey may be long and tiring but there's excitement upon reaching the place. It has a lot of interesting shoreline, hillside and just plain greens. I also love the fact that there are so many things to discover and do here. The people are also friendly and full of tales.

The Lighthouse of Calatagan also know as: Punta de Santiago, Faro de Santiago, Cape Santiago or even plain "parola." This was constructed in 1890 and was named Punta or Faro de Santiago since it was Don Santiago Zobel who donated the land where it stood. Reference: Calatagan Lighthouse Punta de Santiago
