2024 marks a new beginning for Repertory Philippines as they will begin a new and exciting journey at their new home in Carlos P. Romulo Theatre at the RCBC Plaza in Makati City.
The 2024 Season begins with the staging of Betrayal, a work by Harold Pinter, a renowned British playwright. Betrayal is also the first foray of Repertory Philippines in introducing guests actors from another country.
Quarter 2 presents Repertory Philippines' very own, Cara Barredo in "I Love You, You're Perfect, Now Change." This musicale tackles vignettes about love, romance, and relationships in-between. Sometimes funny, sometimes sad, but that's love.
From Gilda Cordero-Fernando's book- The Magic Circle, Repertory Philippines is set to stage "Jepoy, And The Magic Circle. This is Filipino storytelling at its best, with Philippine mythological creatures as characters. It will also feature a whimsical ballet where tianaks and kapres dance.
And last but not the least, "Going Home to Christmas," highlights the plight of Filipinos going home to the Philippines for Christmas. But what makes it more special is that this is a Jose Mari Chan musicale. JMC's popular Christmas songs lends its voice to the heartwarming musicale.
Another exciting news is that the Repertory Philippines' Season 2024 will begin in its new home at the Carlos P. Romulo Theatre, RCBC Plaza. It is indeed going to be a new beginning.
Of course, as the stage will close in its OnStage Greenbelt home for two decades, Repertory will stage a family favorite- Snow White and Her Prince, until the end of January 2024. So come now, and join Repertory Philippines in bidding adieu to its former home, and sing and dance with the lovable characters from Snow White and Her Prince.
