The Manila Hotel ushered in the much awaited season with a festive celebration that highlights the annual Tree Lighting Ceremony last November 9, 2023.
Hotel guests will be greeted by the towering Christmas Tree upon entering the hotel lobby. Festooned with golden Ilang-Ilang blooms, white parols, and other native ornaments, this stunning Christmas Tree was conceptualized by no other than Mr. Rachy Cuna, Creative and Design Director of The Manila Hotel.
And to make the Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony much more special, guests were serenaded by the Office of the President's Chorale with timeless Christmas carols.
The ceremony was also graced by special guests that includes TMH Chairman Basilio Yap, TMH VC Dr. Emilio Yap III, TMH President Atty. Joey Lina, and Chief Justice Diosdado Peralta. Other guests include Manila Mayor Honey Lacuna, VM Yul Servo, US Ambassador MaryKay Carlson, Nigeria Ambassador Folakemi Akinleye, among others.
"As we aspire to be a part of every family's Christmas celebrations, may our lit Christmas tree serve as a reflection of the hotel's commitment to embodying the spirit of Filipino traditions this holiday season," said Marvin Kim Tan, TMH Director of Sales and Marketing.
There was also a surprise performance from some of the children from The House of Refuge. After the performance, the children were given gifts and treated to a delicious merienda. But another highlight of the event was when The Manila Hotel CSR endorsed a check amounting to P200,000 to The House of Refuge. It was a Merry Christmas indeed.
