CHILD Haus, an institution for children with cancer, recently celebrated its 21st year at the SM Mall of Asia Music Hall. Founder 'Mader' Ricky Reyes along with the Sy family, have been staunch supporters of CHILD Haus.
The event was attended by Mader Ricky, Mr. Hans Sy, and other individuals and companies, who over the years have been a part of CHILD Haus.
Stories that feature Aya, Laura, and Jessa were turned into video vignettes that highlight hope and the life-saving work of the organization. It was truly remarkable to witness everyone being moved the the videos and testimonials.
Children suffering from cancer are 'adopted' and provided food and shelter at the CHILD Haus. Presently, the organization has two locations- one in Manila near PGH, and another one in Quezon City. The children can stay at CHILD Haus until declared cancer-free and/or have completed their treatments and medical procedures. One child and one parent are allowed to live at CHILD Haus, but for infants, both parents can stay.
Karylle and her husband, Yael Yuzon, a long-time supporter of the organization also graced the event. She performed a song especially composed by her husband for the event.
Mader Ricky and Mr. Hans Sy acknowledge the significance of the event as it commemorates 21 years of compassion, fortitude, and the spirit of giving and sharing.
