My Facial Pampering Experience at ELITE Shangri-La Plaza

When you are in your 40's, you are more or less becomes more concerned about health and beauty issues such as having nice and properly hydrated skin. I mean, if you don't take care of your skin, even if you are not yet in your 40's, harmful elements such as pollution, sun, or even the make-up you are using can ruin your skin.

I'm not much of a make-up loving person nor do I apply sunblock unless I am at the beach (which I most of the time also forget to do) so you can just imagine how my skin pales in comparison to those who regularly or religiously take care of their skin. Luckily, I drink a lot of water to keep myself hydrated

I didn't expect a facial when I attended the opening of ELITE Skin Perfection at the East Wing of Shangri-La Plaza in Ortigas but there's not a chance for me to chicken-out since my companion seems keen to have a facial.

So here's us, getting some facial pampering using ELITE's special creams, gels and serums.

Before the actual facial though, Daily Dewdrops Facial Toner was applied on my face and the facial expert also gently massaged my face, to keep the blood flowing nicely, I think. Glad that she has gently hands, unlike in some beauty spa where there'a an unpleasant experience that will make you think about having a facial again.

Step 2 was applying Daily Dewdrops Facial Cleanser (for All Skin Types). After the cleanser wherein minimal dirt and grime was removed from my face (glad that I always wash my face with mild soap), Replenishing Night Cream was applied.

The night cream was allowed to settle for about 10 minutes before Step 4 was applied- Optimal Supreme Face Serum.

Then Clarity Peeling Gel was applied on my face which has a cooling sensation. What I noticed about ELITE's creams, gels, and serums is that it doesn't have any cloying scent and feels light on the skin, not sticky nor does it sting.

And lastly, Deep Lifting Mask was applied on my face. I guess as a 40-something person, I needed a lifting mask. What's nice about it is that after the facial expert removed the mask from my face using cleanser, my face actually feels supple and fresh. I think it is easy to get use to this kind of pampering especially having experienced how gentle they are in touching my face. Not to mention knowledgeable about the products and why they are applying that particular cream or gel on my face.

Overall, my face feels young after that rigorous facial. The skin feels soft and smooth, I feel younger too!
