This summer, if you are planning to go to the beach (and why not?), add these famous Thai-beaches on your list.
Railay Beach in Krabi Province. Very picturesque as it is surrounded by limestone cliffs. Going to Railay Beach is an adventure itself as you can only get there via a boat ride. Don't forget your goggles and go snorkeling with Nemo! It is also possible to do a bit of a hike or rock climbing if you are up for it.
Some of the most visited beaches in Thailand are in Phuket Island. There are more than 30 beaches to choose from, some with pristine white sand, and others with bustling nightlife. Phuket has also a lot of other activities in-store for its visitors.
If you just want to make a quick side-trip to the beach, Hua Hin is just a few hours away from Bangkok. Aside from swimming, surfing lessons are also offered in Hua Hin. And not only that, since it is near the city, this beach area is a famous get-away for both locals and tourists.
Coral Island is located near Phuket and is highly famous for its coral reef. There's an option for scuba diving or snorkeling or even riding the banana boat. But if you are just aiming for some vitamin sea and just lazing around, why not learn batik making which is also offered on the island.
Cha-Am is another famous beach destination near Bangkok. It has serene coastline where you can just laze around and leave your worries away. Activities such as waterskiing, windsurfing and parasailing are also offered in Cha-Am.
And last but not the least, there's Koh Lanta, which according to Conde Nast is comprise of tiny little islands that you can simply island hop, and dive, or go kayaking, or simply feast on sumptuous seafood meals.
So if you are planning to go to the beach, keep in mind that Thailand has some nice beaches to offer.
