Melissa Shoes has tapped Janeena Chan and Thea de Rivera as #MeInMelissa Style Mavens this October. The #MeInMelissa is an on-going campaign that highlights empowered Filipinas who are smart, beautiful, strong, and passionate about their chosen careers in life.

"I'm just so grateful to be in a career that I love," shares Janeena Chan. "I don't want to take for granted anything so I'm really grateful to be in this line of work. So really that in itself is motivation enough to just keep on going."

Janeena is the face of ANC's Chinoy TV. She is also a lifestyle blogger, model, and digital influencer. She started young in the industry and has created a name for herself in marketing campaigns and media events.

For Thea de Rivera, having a strong passion for what you want to do is the best ingredient for success. "I think I'm one of the few people who like really busy schedules and when people ask me how I do it, it's really all about balancing your time. I sometimes find myself running out of time because I have so much things to do but at the end of the day, it's really about managing your time wisely and properly."

Thea and her boyfriend, Gab Bustos manages The Girl and The Bull and other restaurants in the metropolis.

Both Janeena and Thea agree that it is sometimes hard to find a good pair of stylish shoes that is both comfortable and weather friendly. Luckily, Melissa has more than several pairs that addresses their fashion and practical requirements. Gone are the "Tiis-ganda" days when style is favored over comfort.

"Well it's very important, because I need to be very comfortable during my work days," says Thea. "It's very important to have shoes that you're very comfortable in, to make sure you can move around. So what I love about Melissa shoes is that even if they seem to pretty and cute from afar, when you actually wear them, they're the most comfortable pair of footwear you'll be able to try on."
