The Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf is Now A GCash QR Scan-to-Pay Partner

The list of establishments where you can use GCash QR scan-to-pay is growing and The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf is now a proud partner.

GCash is the country’s leading mobile wallet provider and this partnership enables CBTL’s customers to be able to scan-to-pay with the GCash app. This is a fast way of paying for purchases, simply open the GCash App, scan the GCash QR code at the merchant’s counter, input the amount to pay and settle the transaction right there and then. So easy!

Aside from being a GCash QR scan-to-pay partner, CBTL is also one of the first coffee chains to support Alipay QR payments. This allows international customers who have the Alipay App to pay as well. This feature is currently available in selected CBTL branches, others will follow before the year ends.

“We’re excited with our partnership with CBTL. On top of accepting local QR payments to help us in building a cashless nation, they’re also already accepting Alipay QR payments for international visitors, a feature which will surely make them feel welcome,” said Anthony Thomas, President and CEO of Mynt. “I’m also inviting GCash customers to scan and pay with the GCash app to enjoy P100 discount on CBTL products.

For a limited time only, GCash customers can enjoy a P100 discount on CBTL products. They just have to scan a P100 GCash QR voucher code using the GCash App, and then scan again upon payment to avail of the discount (minimum product purchase of P115 is required). This new feature allows customers to get outright discounts on the spot instead of waiting for cashbacks.

Coinciding with the partnership signing is a sneak peek of CBTL’s new set of holiday drinks and the 2019 Giving Journal which is set to launch on October 27, 2018. The Ube Ice Blended and Chocolate Nut Ice Blended holiday drinks gives a very Filipino feel that is perfect for the Yuletide season. And to make it more special, the Giving Journal will feature 4 new designs inspired by the CBTL community, proceeds of which will go to the Real Life Foundation, a non-profit organization that sends out-of-school-youth to learning institutions.

“We are excited to officially launch our partnership with GCash alongside our biggest campaign of the year. One of the brand’s pillars is innovation, and we are delighted to offer a cashless mode of payment to guests in all our stores nationwide,” said Paolo del Rosario, VP of Marketing & Business Development of The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf.
