Girl Power at "It's a Girl Thing" Manila 2018

It's a Girl Thing is back in Manila and it has a line-up of awesome social media stars and celebrities who will inspire, empower, educate teenage girls all over the world. The event will be held at the ABS-CBN Vertis Tent on October 20.

More than 2,000 teenage girls signed up for the launch where social media stars and celebrities will discuss topics such as bullying, body shaming, health and wellness, self-confidence, cultural challenges and future aspirations as well as other interesting and timely topics.

"Right now, we have everything we need at our fingertips, but the one resource that's worth the most is what's inside of each and every one of us. We can all help each other. If I can do anything to inspire you- just know you're inspiring me just the same," said Megan Batoon

The event format is part live show and part experimental where there's meet and greets, brand experiences, workshops, and other exciting activities. Attendees will get a chance to mingle with international stars such as Megan Batoon, LianeV (Valenzuela), Meredith Foster, Asia Jackson and AndreaH. Of course, local celebrities like Janina Vela, Hannah Pangilinan, AC Bonifacio and Renee Dominique will also grace the event as well as surprised guests.

"Everyday we see how the young Filipina loves to express and share her life-- her potential and insecurities, hopes, and ambitions- via social media platforms. By bringing It's a Girl Thing to them, Globe Live helps further enhance their potential and address their insecurities through open interaction with some of the most admired young female online personalities, in the hope of being able to connect and inspire them," says Denise Seva, Director for Events and Production at Globe Live.

Dove is also partnering with It's a Girl Thing as a major sponsor this year. "Dove is thrilled to be partnering with It's a Girl Thing as we share a vision to inspire and educate young Filipinas to be more confident in who they are and to embrace their real beauty. The IAGT platform is a gerat fit for the Dove Self Esteem Project and our new partnership with Cartoon Network and their hit show Steven Universe, ensuring the next generation grow up with improved self esteem and confidence so they can reach their full potential," said Jackie Manago, Dove Brand Manager.
