HOTEL REVIEW: Microtel by Wyndham Boracay

If you are after a nice respite from the office or busy city life, then going to the beach will definitely help you recharge. Of course, you need to consider the location of your hotel also. In our case, we wanted a hotel that is far from the usual crowded areas in Boracay and we found our gem in- Microtel by Wyndham via Booking.com, located at Diniwid Beach.

HOTEL REVIEW: Henann Prime Beach Resort Boracay

It's been a long time since our last vacay since the pandemic started in year 2020 so we're quite excited to have our fill of vitamin sea. Chosen location is in Boracay. Also, I haven't stepped in Boracay for more than five years already if I'm not mistaken. Oooops!

We were billeted in Station 2 during our previous Boracay trip so this time, we chose a hotel in Station 1 because it is less crowded. We found our perfect hotel via Booking.com except all slots were already taken on our chosen dates so I did the reservation at Henann Prime Beach Resort Boracay and paid directly also. Transaction was fast and I got email confirmation right after.

Discover Osaka with Karaksa Hotels

Anyone who is always on the quest for a taste bud adventure would consider Osaka as one of his dream cities. Japan’s third largest city, Osaka is bursting with flavor: every street is packed with restaurants, coffee shops and drinking establishments where you can tick off a lot from your food bucket list, and even add more. No wonder, people call this city “the kitchen of the world.”

Stroll through its busy streets and you’ll be surprised by the food options you can try, unique items you’ll purchase, and the very welcoming locals you can have a friendly chat with. Come by night and the streets will be cloaked with neon signs and full-house entertainment. Osaka’s got a long list of other tourist destinations that you can easily access: castles, museums, theme parks, garden—with some you can even reach by walking. This city is where you want to be!

TRAVEL: Arriving in Siem Reap

Travel from Manila to Siem Reap is about 2 hours and 45 minutes by plane. My friend and I took Cebupacific Air and it was a very smooth flight. We are on a D-I-Y backpacking trip so its really an adventure for both of us. Well, a few splurges here and there seems unavoidable including the airfare. ;)

TRAVEL: Post-Graduation Baguio Escapade Day 1

Isabel recently graduated from grade 6 and two days after, we found ourselves enroute to Baguio City via Victory Liner's Deluxe Bus. This is a Family Fun tour and we'll be joining four other families in Baguio. Travel from Manila is approximately 6 hours (including 3 stops) but since we took the 3am bus, we just snored from NLEX to Baguio- no kidding.

We landed at the bus station a few minutes past 9am and then hailed a cab up to Session Road because we planned to eat breakfast at Jim's Retro Diner. Alas, the place was still closed when we arrived so we thought we'll be eating at Tea House (hubby's favorite) but ended up at Point Grill which is just a few steps away from the diner.
