Reader's Digest 2021 Most Trusted Brand Awards

At a time when the world is still under the threat of a pandemic, Reader's Digest held its first virtual Most Trusted Brand Awards last year. This year, Reader's Digest 23rd annual survey of Philippines' Most Trusted Brands and Personalities will go on as planned.

Just like the previous years, one of the highlights include a list  of most trusted personalities in the following categories: Most Trusted News Presenter, Most Trusted Radio Presenter, Most Trusted Variety/Entertainment Presenter, and Most Trusted Sportsperson.

2021 READER'S DIGEST MOST TRUSTED FILIPINO PERSONALITIES:

Mike Enriquez (Most Trusted Radio Presented)
He is Radio GMA President and 24 Oras senior new anchor with a career in journalism spanning five decades. Mike Enriquez is known for his integrity. Throughout his career, he has worked both in TV and radio as a reporter, editor, program director, station manager, president, and of course, presenter. 

Jessica Soho (Most Trusted TV Presenter)
She has built a reputation for tackling investigative reporting and life-changing human interest stories with 34 years of experience. Jessica Soho is also the host of GMA Network's top-rating current affairs program, Kapuso Mo. 

Ryan Agoncillo (Most Trusted Entertainment/Variety Presenter)

Trust and honesty are characteristics that are closely aligned- so it should be no surprise that these words are often heard when describing Ryan Agoncillo. Last year, the former star of the noontime show Eat Bulaga came out in support of people who suffer from depression when he posted on social media about his own battles with the debilitating condition. His honesty won him many supporters. 

Manny Pacquiao (Most Trusted Sportsperson)

He has built an impressive sporting career since winning his first professional fight at 16. Since then, he has won numerous world titles in eight different weight divisions. He is now balancing his career between the Senate and boxing. 

"Trust matters when it comes to weathering a crisis, and ultimately, trust is built on the traditional foundations of quality, consistency, honesty and delivering on your promises," said Louise Waterson, Reader's Digest EIC. 

2021 READER'S DIGEST MOST TRUSTED FILIPINO BRANDS:

Platinum Awards went to those brands that perform exceptionally, based on consumers’ perception. In the poll, these brands attained scores that exceed those of their nearest competitors. Some of the awardees were:

• Credit Card Issuing Bank – BDO; 

• Optical Shop/Stores – Executive Optical; 

• Pharmacy/Drugstore – Mercury Drug; 

• TV Network – GMA; 

• Pen – Pilot; 

• Mattress – Uratex; 

• Tires – Goodyear; 

• Milk Tea Shop – Macao Imperial Tea.

Gold Awards went to brands that had outstanding results, based on the perception of consumers. Some of the brands included in this list were:
