Almost every month, different mobile phones are being released. The competition is really tough especially when it comes to specs. More and more people are clamoring for mobile phones that suits each and everyone's preferences. Even kids nowadays have phones.

So what makes ASUS Zenfone Selfie different and appealing? Let's find out ...

Zenfone Selfie boasts of having an Anti-Scratch Corning Gorilla Glass 4. OMG! I just did a scratch test using my keys and I almost had a heart attack while literally scratching the screen of Zenfone Selfie using my bedroom key. And guess what??? There's nary a scratch, not even a tiny one. Watch  Zenfone Selfie scratch test. Coolness! At least I won't worry about placing the phone inside my bag sans protective case.

Having a Qualcomm 64-bit Octa Core processor along with the Brand-new ASUS ZenUI with Android 5.0 Lollipop Operating System makes downloading and playing games fast.

The 5.5 inch display screen also plays a big factor since you won't need to squint when you read your messages, surf, watch or play games.

I love the clarity of the video also when I watch my KDramas. No 'grainy' or blurry visuals when I watch the video. The phone comes with a 32GB storage so I think that's more than enough for more than several games, movies, eBooks, other Apps, and of course- photos. It has a Micro SD card support up to 128GB if you need more storage.

I also tried using the phone to take videos. You can watch the vids Christian Bautista  and Aisaku Yokogawa. Note to self: get a phone-tripod for taking videos.

Listening to music is also nice because of the clear sound thanks to ASUS SonicMaster for better sound clarity and deeper bass. And if you have a headphone with noise-cancelling features, then its more awesome.

Battery life is also good since I tried playing and surfing the internet for a whole day, and there's still enough battery for the following day. Charging is also fast because of the "fast" charging cable. As for the cable itself, it would've been nice if it's not too pliable so that it will last for years. But then again, I just had it for less than a week so let me update you on that if it breaks down on me.

And because the phone is called Zenfone Selfie, let's look at its camera features. Btw, it has a 13 MP front and rear camera so that's an added point. See photo below for the camera settings.

Comparison Auto-mode between Zenfone Selfie (top) and iPhone 6 (bottom): The photo taken by Zenfone Selfie is brighter and clearer compared with the iPhone 6. Nuff said.

Here's a selfie-shot using Zenfone Selfie. The one doing the selfie-shot is Hannah of Confluence Asia.

Here's a food shot using "Depth of Field" phone feature:

Overall, the Zenfone Selfie is a nice phone with great specs, and reasonably priced at P11,995.

  1. Wow, can't believe the difference in the pictures of the Zenfone and iPhone 6. And it's scratch free! Hmmm something to consider when we purchase our next phone.

  2. Grabe the scratch test! Super kaba ako while doing it ...

  3. you look great in your selfie. heard so many great things about this too.

  4. Cool! We don't need to buy an expensive mobile phone if those low-key names are comparable with with those branded ones, right?!

    1. I wouldn't say ASUS is low-key since the brand has proven its worth when it comes to desktops and laptops :)

  5. ASUS seems to be on a frenzy, they have launched numerous Zenfone models this year. I bet every selfie lover will enjoy this one. I particularly love the very girly color!

  6. Selfie shot looked so clear and crisp, i'll have to agree.

  7. I like its rear and front camera, it's very clear and has the same size of megapixel. I buy my ASUS Selfie at (, a month ago and I'm still amazed. It's kinda cheap for its specification :O
