Rabbit Hole is a 2007 Pulitzer Prize winning play written by David Linsay-Abaire and was a Broadway hit that generated several Tony nominations and a win for its lead actress, Cynthia Nixon. It was then adapted into a critically acclaimed film with Nicole Kidman in 2010 and earned her an Oscar nomination for Best Actress.
The story is about a couple who are grieving for the death of their four year old son. The play explores the way people deal with loss and how this affects those closest to them. Personal grief when nurtured can really threaten a relationship no matter how strong it is. Variety calls it "an intensely emotional examination of grief, laced with wit, insightfulness, compassion, and searing honesty."
The Manila premier casts includes Agot Isidro as Bianca, the grieving wife and theater vetaran Michael Williams as the husband, Howie. Joining them are Che Ramos-Cosio and Sheila Francisco.
Rabbit Hole will be directed by Topper Fabregas. It opens on August 1, 2014 and runs all weekends of August. Please visit Red Turnip's FB Page for complete show schedules and more details.
