GADGET REVIEW: KENKO Pieni ll Camera

This.Is.The.Cutest.Camera.Ever!

                                                                KENKO Pieni ll

The KENKO Pieni ll Camera is not just a 'toy' because it actually works!

I first saw a similar tiny camera during my 'autumn' walk in Kinshicho and didn't really think that I'll get one myself until I saw a gadget store in Narita Airport selling different kinds of tiny cameras. And this was on the night before I was scheduled to fly back home.

There are several variations of these tiny camera, some with digital screen, and some looks like vintage cameras. The staff was suggesting I get the one with digital screen- easier to use when taking pictures because you can really see what's in front of you but KENKO Pieni ll has more personality, IMO.

Btw, these tiny cameras doesn't have built-in memory storage so you need to buy either 16GB or 32GB card. Haha, I can't remember the last time I used an SD card.

I did take some photos during my flight back home (clouds, plane, etc) but the  card got stuck in the laptop. Hopefully, I can safely remove the card soon and check how the photos turned out.

Of course, I got another SD card and here are some of the photos. First one was a close-up photo of Cassava Chips. Light was a bit dim since it was indoors.

Coffeeshop photo. Light was brighter here so photo turned out nice.

Floor-to-ceiling glass plus natural light. Photo looks better although 'blurry.' Maybe my hand moved a bit while I took the photo.

Overall, the KENKO Pieni ll Camera makes me think about the 'first' digital phone camera I've had in Year 2002, I think? Haha that was so long ago. But hey, this tiny camera is a great gift idea or a novelty that is both cute and functional.

Photo resolution is also okay given that it is only 1.3MP. For best photo result, make sure that the area is brightly lit OR better take pictures in natural light.

My only complaint is the 'tiny' viewfinder and it's kinda hard to see especially if you are too close to the 'subject.' Otherwise, you can 'squint' or simply move the tiny camera about an arm's length away and start taking photos.

Specs:
1.3MP
18g
Supports up to 16GB SD card ** although staff at the store said 32GB also works fine
ISO 100
Can take video also

Comes in Black, Pink, Orange, and Light Blue colors. Camera also includes strap.

I got this for Y6,080 so that's roughly P2,260.00.
