Power Mac Center celebrated its 29th year with a series of live audio-digital experiences featuring OPM icons and new artists. PMC aims to put the Filipino brand of music front and center and give local artists a unique platform to share their music.
"Sync Sessions is an original concept from way back that allows artists and fans to experience music in unique and innovative ways, as our featured bands and solo artists use Apple devices as instruments. As we consume more and more digital content, we also want to showcase the beauty of the live human experience of coming together to enjoy music," said Joey Alvarez, PMC Director for Marketing and Product Management.
These audio-digital experience was stage in different locations in Metro Manila from August 26 to September 23.
Sync Sessions started in Eastwood Mall where Bullet Dumas and Ang Bandang Shirley, Sandwich, Jess Connelly, and LustBass performed. Next stop was in SM Makati with Young Cocoa, and Munimuni, an indie Filipino band. Third leg saw Jason Dhakal, and Autotelic performed at the UP Town Center on September 9. The following Saturday, Zild and YouTuber Lesha performed a rare electronic set at Robinsons Magnolia. Last stop is at Festival Mall where Leanne & Naara, Ebe Dancel, Ace Banzuelo, and This Band performed to a jampacked crowd.
Sync Session was hosted by Vince Velasco, Samm Alvero, and Aryn Cristobal. Of course, a celebration is not complete without some prizes and lucky participants got to take home merchandise from PMC partners Amazing Thing, Belkin, JBL, PanzerGlass, Sony and SoundCore by Anker, and PMC Gift Certificates.
Sync Sessions is an initiative that puts the power of the human talent at the center of technological advancement. Beyond the stage, it aims to empower Filipinos to maximize Apple technology through discovering new ways to make music that is unique.
"Many of the artists we invited have long been using Apple devices for their music. PMC hopes to inspire a new generation of musicians and content creators alike to keep discovering their voice and express it through their chosen medium or channel- be it music, film, or even vlog. We hope to provide the tools that make individuals stand out and reach their dreams," added Alvarez.
At present, PMC is rolling out its 30th anniversary year-long celebration with the theme- "30 Years of Transforming Experiences Through Lifestyle Innovations."
