I've seen Sulwhasoo in Sasa (HK) before but I was more interested with a different brand that time so I really didn't give it a second glance. Also, the price is a bit steep vs other Korean beauty brands.
Fast-forward this year when I've been reading a lot about Sulwhasoo and Song Hye Kyo, whom the brand launched as their new ambassador. Hello KDrama fans! Also, Rowena Lei of Animetric.net has been mentioning the brand as her HG. Then during our latest trip to KL last month, I saw a Sulwhasoo section at Parkson's. I wasn't able to check the products there though because I was intent on a different item but I saw Sulwhasoo again at KLIA2 Departure Area. Is it a sign or what?
So I got myself a lip serum stick in rose red. That's shade #4. I find it a pretty shade of red and I like that it looks so vibrant. As compared to other lippy, Sulwhasoo doesn't taste wax-y on the lip. It's like lip balm + lipstick. I also noticed that with frequent daily use (4-days straight), my lip became soft and smooth. I do have a dry lip especially during cold weather so using this lip serum stick is better than applying lip balm then lipstick.
The Sulwhasoo shop at KLIA2 has 5 shades to offer but upon checking the brand's website, they have 8 different shades. I'm curious about #7 which is Deep Berry so making mental note to get that on my next trip.
The cushions are quite expensive though but it feels light on the skin. I used the tester! Haha. But the case looks pretty and elegant-looking.
