Aside from celebrating BluPrint's 15 Wonderful Years, the magazine also awarded the most talented designers through BluPrint Design Competition (BDC). Already on its 6th year, the BDC6 challenged designers to transform simple ideas to iconic designs with the theme- "Thinking Forward." There are three categories- Furniture Design, Industrial Design (Bathtub), and Graphic Design (Wall Art). Each category is also divided into two classifications: Professionals and Students/Graduates. Winners will receive cash prizes and specially designed trophies by famous scupltors Jinggoy Buensuceso and Alab Pagarigan.
Judges who presided over the competition are: Kenneth Cobonpue, a multi-awarded industrial and furniture designer; Arch. Tobias Guggenheimer, Dean of School of Fashion and Arts (SoFa); AJ Dimarucot, graphic illustrator; Arch. Joey Yupangco, Dean pf DLS College of St. Benilde; and Benjie Reyes, sculptor and furniture designer.
