Bohol has been the scenic route of the 12th Giro d'Luca cycling celebration which was held last May 23-25, 2025. The cycling tour covered around 500km that brought cyclist from Panglao to Loboc, Chocolate Hills and other scenic location in Bohol.
Gianluca Guidicelli, a restaurateur/entrepreneur and multi-sports athlete has been organizing a private birthday ride that has become a regional cycling tradition for family and friends.
This year's Giro d'Luca continued its intimate format, welcoming a close-knit group of family members and friends who share a deep appreciation for cycling and the outdoors. Unlike a competitive race, the Giro d'Luca focuses on the experience of bringing riders together to foster camaraderie while enjoying some of the country's most stunning routes.
"Celebrating life and community has always been at the heart of the Giro d'Luca. For over a decade, it's been incredible to see this passion for cycling grow among fellow athletes. We hope to keep that spirit alive on the roads of Bohol for many years to come," said Gianluca Guidicelli, founder of the Giro d'Luca.
Partners for this year's Giro d'Luca includes The Bellevue Resort Bohol and Bluewater Panglao Beach Resort, as well as Nature's Spring as the official hydration partner.
With the success of the 12th Giro d'Luca, the annual cycling tour is set to return to Bohol in May 2026.
