5 Memorable Things That Makes Our Childhood Special

Looking back at our own childhood brings back a lot of nostalgia. Just thinking about it makes us miss the good old days.

Here are 5 Things That Make Our Childhood Special:

1. CDs and Cassette Tapes. We listen to music using our smartphones or laptops, or even via our smart TV but did you know that years ago, you can't just listen to music unless you have CDs or a cassette tape? And it is not easily accessible to every one. For music lovers and collectors, these music mementos is a must.

2. Piko, Tumbang Preso, and Other Street Games. Before Nintendo Switch or playing Mobile Legends on your smartphone or Valorant online, kids play on the streets. Classic outdoor games include piko, taguan, luksong baka, and tumbang preso.

3. Jolem, Jackstones, and Other Classic Pinoy Toys. These simple toys is what makes growing up years ago unique. Aside from jolen (marbles), there's yoyo's, paper dolls, saranggola, and teks!

4. Film Cameras. So how does one preserve childhood memories? Parents take pictures using automatic or SLRs that uses actual films. This is very different from today's digital age. Without films, you can't just take pictures back then.

5. Jolly Spaghetti. It is a part of every Filipino's childhood to go to Jollibee with their family and enjoy favorite meals like the sweet-sarap Jollibee Spaghetti. Just one bite instantly takes us back to fond memories of celebrations and bonding moments with family through the years. There's no surprise that the meatiest, cheesiest, sweet-sarap Jolly Spaghetti remains a favorite of both young, and the young at heart, mula noon, hanggang ngayon.
