MVP Group Provides Assistance to Frontliners in the Fight Against Covid-19

A lot of people have been affected by the Covid-19 pandemic and are very much unprepared for the community quarantines and lockdowns that ensued. Because of this, private companies, corporations, foundations, and the likes has come to the rescue, bringing back the "Bayanihan" spirit that the Filipinos are known for.

In line with this, the Tulong Kapatid (TK), under the helm of Manuel V. Pangilinan, swiftly acted and conducted a series of relief operations and activities to help frontline health workers, and some underprivilege communities, as well as homeless families in Metro Manila.

"We are fully committed to supporting our frontline health workers who are working tirelessly to save lives and to combat this pandemic. We will continue to pour in resources to address the needs and demands of our frontline workers, including PPEs and relief packages," said PLDT Chairman and CEO Manuel V. Pangilinan.

Here are just some of the efforts done by Tulong Kapatid:

- Frontline health workers and government hospitals were given 14,000 liters of 70% Ethyl alcohol. The alcohol was a donation from Roxol Bioenergy Corporation and was distributed through the assistance of Metropac Movers, Inc., PLDT-Smart Foundation, and the Makati Medical Center Foundation.

- PPEs such as goggles, gloves, coveralls, as well as vitamins were given to RITM and the Philippine Genome Center. Specimen collection tubes were also turned over to RITM which came from Metro Pacific Investments Corporation and Metro Pacific Investments Foundation.

- Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital received PPEs, boxes of Clusivol, and Tulip Tabletop Water Filters.

- Full PPEs were provided to frontliners in several hospitals and healthcare centers within the region.

- Meralco Foundation turned over PPEs to Rizal Medical Center, Philippine Heart Center, Philippine General Hospital, Lung Center of the Philippines, Lourdes Hospital, and Dr. Jose Rodriguez Memorial Hospital.

- AKFI distributed meal and bottled water (from Maynilad) to various hospitals and troops.

- PSF continues to distribute grocery packs, hazmat suits, vitamins and reusable face masks to several hospitals and communities in Metro Manila.
Tulong Kapatid continues its efforts in not only lending a helping hand to Filipinos but also empowering them during this Covid-19 crisis.
