Citi Aims to be The Leading Digital Bank in the Philippines

Citi, the leading foreign bank in the country continues to innovate when it comes to offering more digital products and services that will make the online experience for its clients easier and much more convenient. In line with this, Citi Philippines has just launched its latest digital innovation by offering an online credit card application and approval program, which is a first in the country.

"We were one of the first banks to launch an online presence and also one of the pioneers in attracting customers through our websites," said David Stoughton. "At that time, we were only capturing the information online when they apply, but the processing still takes place offline including the credit review. With this latest service, we are excited to break new ground for the industry and deliver another innovation for the Filipino consumer."

With Citi's digitized application and approval process, a client will know in minutes if he or she is qualified for a Citi credit card. "This is a game changer as we continue to look at our products and services, and accelerate digitization to deliver remarkable client experiences," explained Stoughton.

Rewards are also given to all online applicants and additional rewards will be given to successful credit card applicants. This promo is valid until April 30, 2017 only. Every electronic application done within the promo period will received an e-voucher for an Auntie Anne's pretzel and iced tea. And for the approved clients who will use their cards with a purchase minimum of P20,000 within 60 days upon approval are eligible to get a Fitbit Charge 2 fitness wristband.
