Almost There, an Art Exhibit

Almost There is an art exhibit that visually expresses that faith paired with perseverance brings favorable result.

Kristine Lim, the artist behind "Almost There," wants to show everyone that faith can paint and unfold countless blessings if you believe in Him. And with God's mercy and grace, hope is never too late for those who believe in Him.

The ribbon-cutting at the Manila Hotel last October 2 was led by DPWH Secretary Mark Villar, along with Atty. Joey Lina, President of the Manila Hotel; Jaime Jasper Lim (Kristine's husband), and parents. It is also worth mentioning that the artist wore a black shirt with "Trust God" written at the front and "Pray," at the back. The slogan shirt was designed by fashion designer and pastor, Pastor Amir Sali, who officiated the dedication of the art exhibit.

It was a successful event and Kristine Lim's top concern was the safety of the guests. Every attendee and those involved in the event was given a swab antigen test, which thankfully everyone passed. Another concern of the artist was that no one would dare visit nor appreciate her work but she was proven wrong. High-profile art collectors and some elite members of the society bought her paintings even before the event. Senator Miguel Zubiri, an art aficionado said he fell in love with Kristine's version of the Philippine Eagle and that supporting this exhibit will help displaced workers and frontliners.

The paintings at the Manila Hotel was sold-out but Kristine assures other art collectors and enthusiasts that she has more to show on October 16, which will then he held at the Diamond Hotel Manila.

Kristine is part of the Christian+Collective group of artists. Proceeds from the Almost There exhibit and Aesca products will be used to support those in the frontlines of this battle and the displaced workers due to the pandemic through missions of JKL Foundation Inc.

The pandemic has drastically change our way of living and we have a lot to learn from it. We must also take care of our mental and spiritual health so as to cope better especially now when the virus is still present and most of us are still under quarantine.

Almost There, the art exhibit by Kristine Lim will be on display at the Manila Hotel until October 15, and at the Diamond Hotel Manila from October 16-22, 2020.
