Palacio de Memoria is not its original name though. After WWII, the mansion was acquired by Dr. Villaroman for his family. It was only a two-storey mansion then but as the years go by, the doctor added five more floors to accommodate his growing family.
Presently, the mansion is owned by the Lhuillier Family with sisters Angelique and Camille. They fully renovated the mansion which was in a decrepit condition. It was a gargantuan task to undertake but after years of hammering, painting walls and lots of scrubbing, Palacio de Memoria was born.
Last December 7, 2019, the place hosted Pasko Sa Palacio to feature not only the house but to treat guests with Filipino food and hospitality, complete with a cultural show. It was indeed a night to remember as one got to have a feel of what's its like to live during the time when Manila was still known as the Paris of the East.
The mansion itself was brought back to its former glory and that includes the terrazo flooring on the ground floor that immortalized the folk dance- tinikling.
The ground floor of the Palacio de Memoria is now filled with antique furniture that brings back Old Manila nostalgia. Enjoy the photos.
Palacio de Memoria is now opening its doors as a wedding or exclusive party venue. You may get it touch with Palacio de Memoria at- Telephone #2533994 or via their FB Page- Palacio de Memoria.
