Manila used to be called, Paris of the East before World War II. Houses and buildings that time used to rival that of the ones in Europe and Manila was once the hub of parties and balls especially during pre-war. You can just imagine the big houses with large lawns that lined the famous Dewey Boulevard (Roxas Boulevard) and Ermita and Malate areas. Only a few houses survived the war and one such place is the newly renovated Palacio de Memoria along Roxas Boulevard, Paranaque City.
