Before the Covid-19 pandemic, there was Taal Volcano. Looking back, the year 2020 started with a Taal Volcano on the verge of eruption, and has caused ash fall from as far as Bulacan, and about a week of cancelled or diverted flights.
This year, the Taal Volcano is still showing signs of activity such as low frequency earthquakes and Alert Level 2 has been raised by the PhilVocs. While no imminent danger in sight, residents of the well-loved tourist destination are on high alert and are prepped to evacuate should there be signs of the volcano waking up again.
