The day was filled with festivities and also because the town of Angono is known as the Arts Capital of the Philippines. Famous artists such as Carlong "Botong" Francisco, Blanco Family of Artists, Nemiranda Family of Artists, and Prof. Lucio San Pedro for music. The town is also home to the Angono Petroglyphs.
But of course, there's the equally famous Higantes Festival of Angono which is a century-old annual festival.
SM Prime Holdings Inc., President Hans Sy was also there to welcome the residents of Angono and joined in on the festivities.

The many happy faces during SM Center Angono's launch. A blogger friend from Angono shared that when the new mall started digging the site many months ago, everyone is already excited because at last- they (the residents of Angono, Rizal) are going to have their very own mall. And seeing the many happy faces during the launch, I know that they are very proud to have SM Center Angono in their midst.
This is my favorite photo of all the mall-goers I saw during the mall opening. So sweet! Si lolo and lola on-a-date and will now go shopping in SM Center Angono. :)
Other highlights of the day includes cultural dance performances.
And an art exhibit at the lower ground floor ...
