Here are some highlights of 2017:
- Went out of our comfort zone and opted to 'homestay" with another family in Baguio. An old couple live in house where we stayed at, and they kinda reminded me of my parents. They also have tons of vegetables and flowering plants around their home. And guess what, we enjoyed the experience so much (they made us feel that we were part of their family) that we spent another week with them during our second trip to Baguio last year.
- Had my first speaking engagement as a "Food Blogger," thanks to the Philippine Bloggers Network (PBNet). I also got to spend time with some BS Tourism students from Pangasinan and first time to hear about some local delicacies from their town.
- Got to meet my Thai friends when we went to Bangkok. It was fun to see them again after meeting them for the first time in Hong Kong last 2013 when we attended an event hosted by OpenRice HK.
- Daughter got nominated by her school to attend GYLC 2018. This was really a surprise and I'm so happy for her. Aja!
- First time to travel with Team Kapusa. And thank you for the surprise birthday cupcake. Will always treasure that memory.
This year, I welcome everything with open arms and just go with the flow, as always.
Sharing my favorite lines from the Rubaiyat of Omar Khayyam---
"Ah, make the most of what we yet may spend.
Before we too into the Dust descend;
Dust into Dust, and under Dust, to lie,
Sans Wine, sans Song, sans Singers, and - sans End!"
