Maxifest 2019

"This year we are bringing our Maxicare event to a whole new level. It will be the same run but we are targeting 4k participants and we will also be asking participants to run for a cause- to choose a beneficiary which is Kythe Foundation," said Maxicare CEO Archie Rillo. "Another thing for this year we are going to have a new component with a larger scale, the Veggie-Fest. And the third one is an opportunity to take part in a once in a lifetime which is to participate in an event that aims be a part of the Guiness Book of World Record, this is for the largest number of people for holding a toy during the run. And we have a bear. Now why are we doing this, because life in this world has a beginning an and end. That's something we have to face. But what matters is how you live your life and this is in line with what Maxicare wants for its clients."



Runners of all ages are included in this year's run. There's a 500-meter dash for kids 12 year old and below, the 2k Senior Sprint for 60 year old and above, the basic 3k, 5k, and the energetic 10k and 16k. Runners will be provided with a race kit that include a race bib, timing chip, medal, singlet, and loot bag. An additional finisher shirt will be given to those participating in the 16k run. Fees are as follows: P500 for 500-meter dash; P650 for 2k Senior Sprint; P800 for 3k; P900 for 5k; P1,000 for 10k and P1,100 for 16k. Assembly time begins at 4:50AM for 16k, 5AM for 10k, 5:30AM for 5k, 6AM for 3k, 6:15AM for 2k, and 6:30AM for the 500-meter kiddie dash.


Maxicare will attempt to break a Guiness World Record for the most number of people hugging a soft toy while running and aims to gather over 4,000 runners and event guests. Each participant will be given a Maxibear, Maxicare's official plushie. And as the event ends, runners have the option to keep Maxibear as a souvenir or donate it to the kids of Kythe Foundation.
