ASUS Unveils T100 with Detachable Tablet Display

Last November 5, ASUS invited both members of the media and ASUS partners to Club Haze for the formal launch of the Transformer Book T100, a 2-in-1 ultraportable laptop with a detachable 10 inch tablet HD display. Powered by the latest Intel Atom 'Bay Trail' quad-core processor and that can be used as a standalone Windows 8.1 tablet. With a slim design and durable finish, Transformer Book is not only one of the lightest laptops currently available at just 1.07kg, but also one of the lightest 10-inch tablets around, at 550g.


Just 10.5mm thin, Transformer Book's tablet display features IPS technology for wide 178-degree viewing angles. Its lightweight keyboard dock has precision-engineered keys for comfortable extended use, plus a large multi-touch touchpad with full Windows 8 gesture support.

I have an ASUS Eepc that hubby bought for me in 2008. That was the first lightweight netbook in the market during that time and it is still working fine up to now. Two thumbs up for ASUS!
