Asia-Pacific Predator League 2020/21 Champions

After a grueling six days of battle across 17 regions, TNC Predator (Philippines), Team Veteran (Myanmar), DWG-KIA (South Korea), and Eagle (Indonesia) emerged victorious.

Esports players from 17 regions battled it out for six days during the Asia-Pacific Predator League 2020/21 and ended up with an adrenalin-filled finals. The online tournament was covered by several channels with a viewership of more than 15 million, the games were divided into four sub-tournaments: two for Dota 2, and two for PUBG. The four winning teams will share a pool prize of USD 240,000 and receive the coveted Predator shields.

The Predator League 2020/21 Dota 2 Asia lower bracket final saw Team Veteran, a team from Myanmar, grind their way past The Council (team from Bangladesh). Team Veteran saw a chance to beat The Council who was having connectivity issues. This victory brought the team to the grand final where they had an intense battle with IMG (team from Mongolia) who also happen to be crowd favorites. But in the end, victory was theirs (Team Veterans).

For the Predator League 2020/21 Dota 2 APAC lower bracket was a battle between TNC Predator and BOOM Esports (team from Indonesia). TNC Predator faced fellow Philippine team Neon Esports who pummeled them in a previous match. This time around, TNC Predator team outplayed Neon and was declared as the winner.

PUBG Asia sub-tournament, three representatives from South Korea took center stage, but ultimately it was DWG-KIA who came out on top thanks to their second place finishes in rounds 11 and 12 as well as GPS Ghibli's downfall. DWG-KIA's calculated decision to weaken GPS Ghibli by bombarding them after the parachute drop in round 11 and Ghibli's massive vehicular disaster in round 12 sealed the victory.

In the PUBG APAC sub-tournament, Eagle 365 from Indonesia steamrolled the scene as they comfortably dominated the top spot with their 125-point tally. Aside from the trophy, they also brought home USD 37,500.

Of course, as in most games, there's that player who stands out and the Intel MVP award goes to Erin Jasper Ferrer (Neon Esports) and Risky Junaidi Putra (Eagle 365) for showcasing their prowess in esports.

Following the success of Asia-Pacific Predator League 2020/21, it was announced that Japan will be hosting the 2022 APAC Predator League Grand Finals.
