All That Glitters Is Not Gold

Hubby and I just marked a milestone in our relationship by celebrating our anniversary as a couple yesterday. Reminiscing about "how it all began" makes me feel like a teenager again, all lovey-dovey! Hahaha

Anyways, I've always favored silver over gold. Maybe its because I grew up being regaled by tales of dancing princesses and silverwares, or maybe because I love the pale silver moonlight. I also remember receiving a silver pre-war coin on my seventh birthday, a silver cross pen, among other silver stuff such as a silver spoon! No kidding.

When hubby and I got married, we also opted for a silver arras (arrhae), and our wedding colors were pale yellow and silver. Coincidentally, hubby also prefers silver mainly because silver doesn't attract that much attention than gold.

Being true to silver, my beloved treasures are mostly silver such as the ones on the photo. My wedding rings (yes, I have two) and my engagement ring are made of silver. Then there's my favorite silver necklace that hubby gave me. On the other hand, the silver angel rosary was a token that I bought marking the birth of our daughter.

The color silver also plays a role in my life even when I am not aware of it since I also love greens, pinks, purples, reds, and other colors. I didn't realize until now that silver has always been there, been with me almost every day.

There's also a saying that "All that glitters is not gold." It means that no matter how precious looking a particular item is, it may turn out to be the opposite. This is also true with the people whom I have met (and will meet) in my life journey. The gold ones are fleeting, but the silver ones stays loyal. I also think that silver exudes that understated elegance and it really blends in well in terms of fashion. Silver is also easy to pair with almost anything.

Choosing a particular color that best represents me is not that difficult after all. I may be pink today, green tomorrow, purple yesterday, but deep in my heart I am definitely silver. This is akin to choosing food for my family. I choose the food that will not only give nourishment but is beneficial to the health as well.

Bounty Fresh Eggs are not your usual eggs. It is packed with selenium which is needed in our daily diet. And in celebration of the World Egg Day, Bounty Fresh has an exciting line-up of activities at the Mall Atrium in Eastwood City on October 12, 2017. #ChooseTheRightHue #BountyFreshEggs
