The Bonifacio Art Foundation Inc. (BAFI) and URATEX has renewed their partnership for another decade to mark a new chapter in their shared mission to champion the arts and sciences. This renewed collaboration was built on shared purpose, innovation and deep understanding of the power of widespread inspired learning in science, math and the arts to shape futures.
"We, in Uratex, want to to be able to reach as many Filipino communities as possible through the innovations that we do to improve lives," said Ms. Natividad Cheng, President and CEO at Uratex. "Since BAFI has music, math and science programs, and projects that are so engaging and reaching out across our country as well, this made us really think it was a natural alliance."
"URATEX does not only support in terms of resources as a partner, they remain genuinely interested in what innovations we are doing in learning across the sciences and the arts," said Maria Isabel Garcia, BAFI Managing Director & Curator. "Their team always wants to figure out with us how they can make things better. That is a dream partner you want for a mission like this."
The partnership allows Uratex the naming 'rights' to some of The Mind Museum's exhibits such as: the Space Shell Planetarium; the Giant Orrery; and Dressed for Space. It will also hold naming rights to an upcoming math-themed exhibit/s located at the museum's Technology Gallery.
It also looks forward to exciting additions and moving beyond the museum's walls, and will be a Supporting Partner of a new, imaginative and futures-oriented traveling exhibition that explores how humans, environments and shared knowledge intertwine in building better communities. Conceptualized and built by BAFI, the new traveling exhibition will bring visitors from Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao into spaces that represent the stories of how we as humans can work with others and the landscape, and use shared knowledge for community building and cooperation.
Thru the partnership, Uratex will also co-sponsor four (4) Mind Rover sorties across Visayas and Mindanao. The Mind Rover, a museum-on-wheels, brings hands-on science and learning to up to 1,000 Filipino public school beneficiaries per sortie, nurturing a love for scientific discovery in underserved communities around the country.
Uratex will also be a Supporting Partner of the Pinoy Playlist Music Festival 2025. This annual celebration aims to showcase Filipino talents across genres and generations in a vibrant mix of established and emerging musicians, cross-genre performances, expert-led conversations, artisans and much, much more.
Together, BAFI and Uratex aims that their collaboration will not only be able to inspire, but support learning and connect communities as well.
