As always, I made reservations thru booking.com and got a nice overnight rate for 3 pax.
Check-in time begins at 3:00PM but we arrived at the hotel around 5:00PM thinking we can check-in faster but was surprised with the long queue. I think we waited for around 20-30 minutes before it was our turn at the counter. It was a breeze during the actual check-in since it was already paid. All I did was present my ID, the card that I used and made a 5K deposit for incidentals.
And it was such a treat because the room was beyond amazing and not the usual hotel room. I know, I know, it's Okada Manila! Check room tour here: Viva Manilena at Okada Manila.
Since there's three of us, I booked the Deluxe Twin Room but I wasn't expecting how huge the room was (compared to other hotels in Makati) and how luxurious it feels upon seeing the whole room. No kidding! I mean, it is hard to use the color 'red' in a bedroom without making it look tacky BUT the red walls in Okada Manila definitely makes the overnight stay more memorable.
I love that it has a foyer and closet room aside from the main bedroom. Really spacious!
Then there's the comfy twin beds and the desk / coffee table. Oh, and did I mention that they have a Nespresso Machine?
I don't really like coffee pods but I guess Nespresso Arpeggio made me change my views about pods, and even want to get my own Nespresso Machine. What do you think?
Going back to the hotel room, the icing on the cake for me was the bathtub! Hahaha
Super nice and well, the bathroom area was also huge. Then there's the iPad that controls the lights, etc around the room. So cool!
Food from Room Service is also reasonably priced and Thumbs up for Housekeeping Team!
Overall, it was a memorable stay at Okada Manila and we all enjoyed our stay plus a bit of shopping and dining.
