ROG Masters Philippine Finals

eGamers of all ages had a blast last week during the Philippine Finals of Republic of Gamers (ROG) at the Skydome of SM City North EDSA. The competing teams played DOTA 2 and CS: Go for hours till the winning team for each game was declared winner.

Aside from watching the competing teams, the audience gaming enthusiasts were given passports to complete, after which they'll be receiving the ROG surprise box.

Competing teams were: Mineski, Rave, Imperium Pro, and TNC. Mineski bagged the title for CS: Go, while TNC won the DOTA 2 challenged. Both teams will be flying to Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia in November to battle it out with the other Southeast Asian qualifiers.

"The hype is real. That's what I thought on the day of the finals. Seeing the crowd waiting and cheering on for their chosen teams, it made me want to cheer on, too. What I enjoyed the most though is having the chance to join a mini Overwatch tournament. Overwatch is actually easy to play after getting the hang of it after a couple of rounds, though winning right away isn't that easy, haha. Before all that though, I got the chance to see the teams play. "Wow," I thought. What amazed me was their teamwork. Without it, they wouldn't have gotten very far. Inspired, I want to find my own team." - written by Isabel
