A Glimpse of Kuala Lumpur

Here's a sneak peek of our recent trip to Kuala Lumpur (KL).

We stayed in Bukit Bintang area because that's where the action is. Besides, all the malls are just beside each other as well as the famous Jalan Alor, a haven for streetfood lovers.

It was also nice to make new discoveries such as this "walkway" that connects Pavilion Mall to KLCC, which is just a short walk to Suria KLCC Mall and the iconic Petronas Towers.

During my last visit to KL, one needs to either ride the cab or take the bus to Suria KLCC/Petronas but my daughter (who is a Google expert) found out that it is just a 15 minutes walk from Pavilion Mall to KLCC via the walkway. And the best part- the walkway has aircon! No need to make "paypay" while walking nor worry about feeling sweaty and smelly after the long walk.

There are also so many interesting sights to see and experience in KL and one of those is having a Turkish ice-cream. Its either you'll love it, or hate it. But I think people really love it.

You might be wondering how the traffic in KL is compared to Manila- for one, most roads in KL are one-way and traffic is not that bad, really.

As for food, it is really hard to resist the allure of Kopi Tiams and eat some traditional Malay breakfast of sweet coffee and soft-boiled egg and Kaya toast (no pic).

Of course, we can't leave Kuala Lumpur without visiting one of the famous architectural wonders of the world, the Petronas Twin Towers. But do you know that there's a third Petronas Tower? It is formerly called Menara Carigali tower.

And to sum up our stay in Kuala Lumpur, it was a wonderful and memorable stay with lots of shopping and eating PLUS we got free hugs from this lady and her peers. You get the free hugs in the vicinity of Bukit Bintang near Lot 10.

Terima Kasih. Hope to see you again, KL!
