Repertory Philippines Presents: 4000 Miles

4000 Miles is a 2013 Pulitzer Prize finalist for Drama by Amy Herzog. The play which was presented in a single set depicts introduces the audience to the lives of 91 year old Vera, and her 21 year old grandson, Leo who becomes roommates for a month.

The play, staged by Repertory Philippines is led by Baby Barredo as the "cool" grandmother who has a very modern outlook in life. With her frank and no-nonsense attitude, her personality sometimes clashes with that of her angst-ridden grandson played by Jeff Flores.

4000 Miles tackles the generation gap and other whatnots in the lives of Vera and Leo. Leo on his part recently lost a dear friend and is still grieving. On the other hand, Vera has been independent for quite sometime that she finds it hard at first to have someone stay at her house even if its her grandson.

Directed by Bart Guingona, the play runs from March 6-29, 2015 at Onstage Theatre in Greenbelt 1, Makati City.
