GADGET REVIEW: iPhone 6

Its really hard not to fall in love with iPhone 6 especially the gold one. The size and thickness is just right for my hand, not to mention that it looks sleek and sophisticated. It veers away from the former iPhone models in terms of design.

Specifications:

Size- 5.4 x 2.6 inches
Weight- 129 g
SIM- nano SIM
Resolution- 750 x 1334 pixels
Platform- iOS 8 (upgradable to iOS 8.2)
Memory- 16GB
Camera- 8MP primary and 1.2MP for front
Battery- Li-Po 1810 mAh

As I've mentioned, the size is just right for my hand and the screen is also not that huge. Besides, there's the option to make the font bigger or smaller. Weight is also a big factor for me when choosing a phone and I'm glad that its just a tad over 100 g. I mean, heavy phone / phablet is such a hassle to use sometimes. The 16 GB memory is fine with me since I usually transfer photos to my laptop. My old phone only has 8 GB and I'm happy with it so 16 GB is definitely a treat. As for the 8 MP camera, this is great. I love taking photos and if you print a photo with an 8 MP resolution, the colors turns out nicely even for a size 8R photo. The photos looks nice also even in night time. As for the front camera, this is a winner for the "selfie" enthusiasts. Battery lasts for about two and a half days if I just use the phone for sending messages and calling family / friends. About one and a half day if I use it to surf the internet. Battery life is important especially for someone like me who is not fond of using powerbanks and too lazy to charge the phone on a daily basis. On the other hand, there are about 3-4 instances when the phone unit suddenly becomes hot when I was taking some photos, and during charging time. I hope that this is just due to the weather because it didn't happen again. The phone can also be used for blogging because of its screen size. It doesn't really feel awkward to write an article and upload the photos.

Here are the accessories included in the box: lightning cable for charging and ear pods. I haven't tried using the accessories though because I use my daughter's iPad Air cable for charging.

The iPhone 6, 16 GB costs about P36,000 the last time I checked. Price varies from stores though although its always safe to buy from reputable stores so that you can get warranty.

Here are some photos taken using iPhone 6 - MoCafe, Chicken Sibut, 4000 Miles, Neltex, and Happy Walk 2015. iPhone 6 has also a bigger version called iPhone 6 Plus.

Overall, I am happy with the iPhone 6. I won this phone from Smart Communications, Inc. media party last December 2014. Thank you SMART. :)

  1. There's only what one i can say, Inggit much! I wish to have a phone like this although other phones have almost the same specs to offer. But I dunno, I look slimmer and whiter in complexion when using iphones than any other android phone. Have you experienced that/ that's why i wanted to have one. will try to save though.
