Eversince I got hooked in reading eBooks, I've been telling my hubby and daughter that I want a tablet so that I can read the words better (I read eBooks using my Soleil). But there are so many brands to choose from and I guess the novelty of reading eBooks waned a bit especially since I got re-acquainted with my Game of Thrones books.

Then around last October, Polaroid released its Tablet series and I got interested again. I guess its mainly because Polaroid is a brand familiar to me. My father and uncle were photography hobbyist so Polaroid was like ViewMaster to me.

But I wasn't able to buy the tablet since there are other brands to choose from and as I've mentioned, I'm reading books again.

Hubby surprised me though by getting this Polaroid 7" Executive Tablet when daughter and I went on a trip a few days after Christmas. His reason was that he wanted to order some eBooks again and thinks that using a tablet for reading purposes is better than using his laptop. O-kay. So this Polaroid tablet is basically his but daughter and I can use it from time to time.

By the way, I told him to get the white one ... hehehe. And daughter was excited too because she can use it to read mangas online without using her netbook. She said she like it because its portable and weighs less than the netbook. Hmmmm, I think she's sending a secret message here ...

So here's my review for Polaroid 7" Executive Tablet -

I know I was the one who mentioned Polaroid Tablet to hubby but I really haven't had the time to check it in the stores so it was really my first time to hold and see the gadget up-close-and-personal.

It doesn't really weigh much and of course I like the color. Appearance is akin to most tablets being sold in the market. Costs P3,650 in the Polaroid stall in SM Megamall.

I tried using it for a couple of times and find it okay except that I can't download PVZ2 ... hahaha. I mean, I need to get a memory card. ;) Daughter already downloaded an App for watching animes and she said that there's no glitches or anything. I told her to get me an App that will enable me to watch my favorite Koreanovelas. :D Using youtube is also good, as well as surfing the the internet.

I can't say much about the camera because of its low megapix so I'd rather not use it because the photo tends to be grainy. And I can't download IG (instagram). Sadness. I love since I love using IG especially when I post food photos and other whatnots.

Transferring files from your phone to the tablet works fine but not the other way around. I don't know what's wrong with the bluetooth. Maybe the unit is defective? But daughter said its okay since she can just use the cable for transferring files.

I have an issue though with the power and volume buttons also. Looks "toy-ish." Maybe Polaroid can address that concern in their future units.

I'm planning to install some games and Apps to see its performance (that is, if I can wrestle the tablet away from my daughter).  Will update my other findings soon. Stay tuned. :)

  1. ÃŽve also got one in that unit great performance bluetooth and wifi, wifi tethering works well ,,the only downside is it has a low internal memory cant install hd games with obb files coz obb files should be in internal storage (not external sd) so the app can recognize the obb file''

    1. I agree with the low internal memory. Another downside is the camera because the resolution is not that good. But we use this tablet mainly for reading eBooks so its okay.
